What the app does
Gains in Progress recommends lifts for your goal and equipment. You can build a full workout by picking time, training style, body part, and equipment, or find the right lift for a specific goal. Tap any exercise to see how to do it and what it works.
Common questions
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. The app works fully offline and has no accounts.
Why do squats and deadlifts stay at lower reps?
Heavy squat and hip-hinge lifts get riskier as reps climb, so the app holds them at 6-8 reps (8-10 in endurance sessions) in every style and asks you to progress by adding weight, not reps. They're marked with a lock tag.
Why is my session shorter than the time I picked?
Some body part and equipment combinations, like bodyweight only, don't have enough sensible exercises to fill the whole time. The app tells you that honestly instead of padding the session. Add a short finisher like a walk or easy bike ride if you want to fill the time.
Does the app save my workouts?
No. Use the Share button to send a workout to Notes, Messages, or anywhere else you'd like to keep it.
Safety
